What We Do

We have built a successful business around good ideas, great products, and world-class innovation. Our team has a broad range of skills including software, electrical and mechanical engineering and we specialize in brainstorming, prototyping, and early stage design. Our focus is on developing new ideas and launching new companies…and lots of them! We have a unique business model that allows us to spin-off new technologies quickly and leverage our internal resources and external partners over and over again with every new company launch. This lets us learn quickly from our mistakes and get better at the startup “game” with every spin-off.

Our goal is to develop a portfolio of successful companies based on cutting edge technologies, right here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, while attracting the best possible technical talent to our region.

At Quark, we also feel strongly about sharing in our success and giving back to our community and that is why we are proud supporters of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Atlantic Chapter and the IWK Health Centre. We are also strong advocates for entrepreneurship and as such, donate our time to mentor new startups and speak with young entrepreneurs whenever possible.
